Heather Pohlman, Owner

"The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle." - Steve Jobs

I have a deep passion for dog training! I started showing when I was 6 years old, and at 7 I earned my first Best in Show and Best of Tricks with my first Sheltie, Ginger. Over the years I've learned multiple techniques and tricks, having trained protection dogs to show dogs. I stick with positive reinforcement because, honestly, it works best if you want to have an amazing bond with your dog. My life has been graced with some amazing dogs in the past, and currently I have two Shetland Sheepdogs, a Border Collie, and two Hungarian Wirehaired Vizslas.

I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer through Animal Behavior College, a Certified Trick Dog Instructor, Certified Canine Fitness Coach, and Stunt Dog Instructor and Judge through Do More With Your Dog, a Certified Dog Bite Prevention Educator, a Treibball Instructor, and a certified Hoopers instructor. I'm currently working on my certification to train service dogs. I am an AKC GCG and Trick Dog Evaluator, Fit Dogs Instructor, and AKC Canine Ambassador.

Wendy Kregor, Lead Trainer

Wendy’s journey in obedience training began many years ago in the northern suburbs of Chicago with her beloved Sheltie, Rudy. Her passion for dog training deepened when she welcomed Natasha, a spirited, blue-eyed Siberian Husky, into her family in Seattle. Training Natasha proved both challenging and rewarding, ultimately inspiring Wendy’s belief that every dog benefits from having a “job” or purposeful activity.

Over the years, Wendy has actively participated in a variety of dog sports and activities, including obedience, conformation, rally, agility, and Barn Hunt. Her previous Bearded Collies, Mac and Hans, further fueled her enthusiasm for the dog performance world, and now she actively works and shows her current Beardies, Greta and Gus Gus.

Combining her background as an elementary education teacher with her dedication to canine training, Wendy has been teaching dog training classes in the northern suburbs since 2015. She holds several notable certifications, including AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Temperament Test Evaluator, FitPAWS Master Trainer, certified AKC FitDog Instructor, and certified Dog Parkour Trainer.

Wendy is committed to helping dogs and their owners build strong, positive relationships through engaging, effective training methods.
